It is established principle of criminal law that case cannot be clubed for purpose of evidence or otherwise and evidence of one case cannot be read in another case. Section 218 to 224 of CRPC though permits joinder of charges but does not permit consolidation of case. The magistrate has committed a grave error amounting to an illegality in reading evidence lead in another case in present case.
