CORAM :
HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE RAVI R.TRIPATHI
Date : 01/09/2010
ORAL ORDER
It is really painful that in every small matter, a Government employee is required to knock the
doors of the High Court. This is again one such case, wherein the Government is sitting tight
over letter dated 1^st March/ April 2008. It is good that now there is a tool in the hands of public
at large to call for such information under the Right To Information Act. The petitioner received
a copy of this letter in response to the application under the Right To Information Act on 8^th
March 2010. It is surprising that since 1^st April 2008, the authorities have not proceeded any
further in the direction of granting the request made in this letter.
If there is no valid reason for non grant of this request, the authorities must pass appropriate
orders by 27.09.2010, failing which the Secretary, Forest & Environment Department shall
remain personally present before this Court on the next date of hearing to explain as to why order
dated 1^st April 2008 is not acted upon. Adjourned to 27^th September 2010.
(RAVI R. TRIPATHI, J.)
